Are You Ready to Handle It?
There comes a time in life when you think it is all over. Every moment lingers heavily like a defeat. All your efforts and hard work seem to have yielded nothing. You think it is your doomsday, but is it?
No. That is not the end.
Life is transient, characterized by unexpected ups and downs. And the transition is not linear; it is unpredictable and erratic. Life may surround you with happiness, and the next moment, drown you in despair.
Since it is beyond our ability to predict the future, we are often unprepared for what comes next.
The sadness that arises from tragedy is the hardest to deal with, like heartbreak, loss of a loved one, or career decline. The reasons can be numerous. If many such negative incidents happen at once, you are pushed into unbearable grief.
But amidst this darkness of misery, there is a belief that gives hope: the belief in the impermanence of life.
Do not let your difficulties overwhelm you, as adversities are a part of life and exist only for a limited time. All you need is the courage to endure them, the desire to overcome them, and the patience to wait for their passing.
Because after the peak of pain subsides, the fog of misery lifts. You start adjusting your conditions, shifting from initial denial to an understanding of the new reality. As emotional fatigue sets in, the feelings of anguish and bitterness soften until you become almost oblivious to them. It makes you stronger, yet more empathetic, due to increased self-awareness and wisdom.
Similarly, even your good days will not be there forever. You should not be excessively attached or overly proud of anything.
Instead, have a balanced approach to life that requires control over your emotions. Do not let them sway you or get the better of you. Whatever the circumstance may be, treating it as a mere incident rather than your whole life helps you maintain your composure and face it.
Time does not stop, and neither does life. Nothing is going to last forever. Situations are like footprints in the sand, which will get washed away by the waters of time, leaving us with only memories.
When you see no way out of your gloom, remember this too shall pass. It is a reminder that joy or sorrow, victory or defeat, surprise or shock, nothing is permanent.
Change prevails, and we learn to live with it.
